Throughout our decades here, we have found ourselves hosting Anglers whom return year after year in search of that legendary sport-fishing legacy of the Pine Island Sound.

Our snowbirds are escaping the frigid bond that winter has on their lives by finding our large waterfront apartments a perfect alternative as their home away from home. The sojourner travelers in search of that special place to enjoy find those lasting memories of a lifetime here at the Malu Lani Inn as we are a shells throw away from it all!

Pine Island…which is only 30 minutes from Fort Myers but a world apart!

Secluded Pine Island offers a quiet, laid-back atmosphere and a lush natural environment which boasts some of the best fishing and boating Florida has to offer.

The waterways of Jug Creek, Matlacha pass and through the Pine Island aquatic preserve are excellent for kayaking and canoeing.

The largest island off Florida’s gulf coast, Pine Island offers a small-town atmosphere amid mangroves, three aquatic preserves, and acres of palm trees, tropical plants, and fruit groves. This breathtaking environment is a haven for birdwatchers and nature lovers. Pine Island is a cultural/archeological destination too; as the Randell Research Center, Island museums and area art galleries are always impressive visits.

With many tour boats and water taxies available, the islands of Useppa, Cabbage key where cheeseburgers in paradise are served, Sanibel & Captiva Islands, Boca Grande and of course Cayo Costa is a shelling destination.

Active days on a golf course or exploring island life are easy to achieve, but so are quiet and relaxing days on a waterfront balcony with a sea breeze.
